- Listings must comply with university policies and laws. Prohibited items include illegal substances, weapons, and counterfeit goods.
- The Platform now includes:
- Featured Shops: Businesses can apply to be highlighted. Unimarket verifies eligibility before approval.
- Top Services: Service providers may be highlighted based on popularity and reviews.
- Hostels: Hostel listings are uploaded only by admins from the actual premises to ensure safety and authenticity.
- Unimarket reserves the right to reject or remove listings that violate these rules.
4. Payments
- Buyers and sellers are responsible for arranging payments independently. Unimarket does not process payments directly, except for Featured Shops and Top Services where approved payment methods (like M-Pesa) may be integrated.
- Users engaging with Featured Shops or Top Services may be subject to platform fees as communicated at the time of listing approval.
5. Prohibited Conduct
Users agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Use the Platform for unlawful purposes.
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
6. Liability and Disclaimers
- Unimarket acts as a facilitator between buyers, sellers, service providers, and hostels. We do not own or control listed items, services, or hostels.
- We are not responsible for disputes between users, including issues regarding quality, condition, delivery, or safety.
- The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
7. Safety & Verification
- Admins verify hostel listings from the actual premises to maintain safety standards.
- Users should exercise caution and report suspicious activity.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to remove any listings, restrict access, or terminate accounts if these Terms and Conditions are violated.
9. Changes to the Terms
Unimarket may update or modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes. Continued use implies acceptance of the revised Terms.
