Always view a room in person before paying a deposit. Unimarket does not handle rent or payments, and does not hold rooms.
Please read to the bottom to continue.
Unimarket helps students find hostels. By using the housing service you agree to the following.
Unimarket is a housing discovery and viewing-coordination platform. It helps students discover listings, connect with Verified Student Agents, and physically visit hostels.
Unimarket does not own hostels, manage properties, handle rent, hold deposits, or act as a landlord or property manager.
Verified Student Agents are students authorised to help with housing discovery and viewings — sourcing hostels, confirming they exist, uploading listings, arranging times and guiding students there.
They are not landlords, caretakers, property owners, or employees of the hostels listed. A listing shows an agent's name only when a verified agent is actually attached to it.
Availability and pricing change, and rooms can go without notice. Unimarket does not guarantee availability, pricing accuracy at every moment, or that a room will be held for you. Confirm the details yourself before you commit.
Some housing help carries a viewing or service fee, covering the agent's time sourcing, coordinating and guiding.
That fee is not rent, a deposit, or a booking fee. It is paid directly to the agent. Unimarket neither processes nor holds it.
Communicate respectfully, turn up to viewings you arrange, inspect a property in person before paying anything, and decide for yourself whether it suits you. The final decision, and the responsibility for it, is yours.
Agents must not collect rent or deposits for landlords, upload listings that do not exist, mislead students, or quote false prices.
Students must not abuse agents, misuse the service, or act fraudulently.
Breaking these rules can mean restriction, suspension or removal.
Unimarket is not responsible for agreements between students and landlords, for landlord behaviour, for the condition of a property, for disputes once a tenancy starts, or for losses from transactions made independently.
Inspect carefully, confirm payment terms directly with the landlord, and keep your own safety first at a viewing.
Unimarket may remove listings, suspend agents, restrict users and change these policies where it needs to.
Choosing “I understand & continue” confirms you have read and agree to these conditions.
